Making a Pokemon Deck

Here a basic guide that covers how to build a Pokemon Trading Card Game Deck. To begin you need to first select some Basic Pokemon cards. The focus of the deck is to make sure you have lots of energy cards for your pokemon. You should keep your deck limited to only one or two types. Having many different types can become a problem throughout the game. If you happened to draw a Water pokemon and all you have is fire energies in your hand, your pokemon is practically useless to you.

Now that you know which Basic pokemon you have you need to start adding some Stage 1 evolution cards. Evolution cards give you an edge of your opponent when battling. Since you have some Stage 1 cards in your pokemon deck it would be a smart idea to add some Stage 2 Pokemon Cards into your card deck. At this point you should have about 20 cards for your deck (Including only Basic Pokemon Cards, Stage 1 Pokemon Cards and Stage 2 Pokemon Cards)

Every Pokemon Deck must have energies, you should between 20 to 30 Basic Energy cards that match the kind of pokemon you chose for you deck. This amount of energies is essential to strong deck building. Along with the Energy cards you need to include some Trainer cards, Support Cards, and possibly a Stadium Card in your deck. You deck should have about 10 of these kinds of cards. In total you deck should have 60 cards. Remember you can always modify your deck, so practice and make smart modifications, that will help you win your battles.

When creating a Pokemon Trading Card Game Deck it is always a good idea to take on this kind of approach. Not only are you able to make a good deck but you also make it easier to miodify or edit your deck later on. Tale every battle one at a time and be sure to have plenty of fun when playing the game.
